As a business ambassador and student at Newcastle University Business School, I've had the privilege of accessing one of the finest career services available. From personalised support to engaging events, the Careers Service has been instrumental in shaping my professional journey.

Newcastle University Business School Careers Service offers a comprehensive range of resources tailored to students' needs. Whether it’s career information, one-on-one guidance, workshops or events, the support provided is unparalleled. Students can access various services, including career planning, CV optimisation, internship placements, interview preparation, and networking opportunities.

One of the standout features of the service is its one-on-one support system. The dedicated Careers Consultants go above and beyond to assist students in making informed decisions about their education and career paths. I personally benefitted from their guidance, as they helped me identify my strengths, pinpoint areas for improvement, and refine my applications and personal statements for postgraduate studies.

The array of events organised by the Newcastle University Business School Careers Service further enhances student career development opportunities. From specialised sessions like "Careers and Sustainability - Making Your Career More Green" to practical workshops such as "Project Management Career Sessions," there is something for everyone.

One event that particularly stood out to me was the "NCL Careers Workshop - Graduating: What do I do next?" as this session provided valuable insights into navigating the transition from university to the professional world.

Additionally, the recruitment events orchestrated by the Careers Service offer a direct avenue for students to connect with potential employers. These events provide a platform to network, gain industry insights, and explore diverse career paths. I found these interactions immensely beneficial in understanding the current job market and refining my career aspirations.

Furthermore, the online support provided is exemplary. Through their virtual platform, students can access a plethora of resources, including AI feedback for CVs, cover letters, and interviews. The availability of recruitment test practices, overseas employment opportunities, and virtual internship information highlights the commitment to catering to the evolving needs of students in today's digital age.

Reflecting on my overall experience with the Newcastle University Business School Careers Service, I can confidently attest to its effectiveness in equipping students with the tools and strategies for career success. The personalised support, diverse range of events, and comprehensive online resources have undoubtedly empowered me to navigate the competitive job market with confidence and clarity.

In conclusion, my journey with the Newcastle University Business School Careers Service has been nothing short of transformative. From strategic career planning to skill development and networking, the support provided has been invaluable in shaping my professional trajectory. As I embark on the next phase of my career journey, I am immensely grateful for the guidance and opportunities offered to me by the Careers Service
